Proposing an idea for the MAC 2022 season and future MAC shoots. A few of us MAC participants were tossing around the idea of possibly seeing if MAC would adopt ASA scoring. The thought of adding the ASA 14 ring and scoring came on an off day of shooting. Halfway through the course finally getting into the zone on target 15. How would it be possible to catch up at this point or redeem myself of bad shots to stay in the game. The saying "go big or go home" came to mind. What if the ASA scoring was implemented and you had the option of the 14 ring? The switch from IBO to ASA would definitely increase the competitiveness between participants. Another Pro would be offering participants a chance to gain some extra points to recoup some mistakes they may have had on some prior targets or allow them to push the envelope to get ahead. Possibly offer IBO scoring method as the club shoot option but for the MAC participants give the option for more competitive sportsmanship. This is just an idea and would be interesting to hear what other MAC participants have to say. Lets get some pros and cons thrown out here.
